Meet the Founder

Courtney Sanders is a severely hard of hearing, two-time Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer and the founder and CEO of Trembo.

After sleeping through an evacuation order she couldn’t hear during the 2025 LA wildfires (thankfully a false alarm), Courtney searched for a device that could alert her to the myriad sounds a hearing person has access to while asleep. What she found was fragmented technology that, even in combination, still left access gaps and prevented her from being fully independent.

Frustrated, scared and angry, she blew up her life to build a solution for the 1.5 billion people worldwide with hearing loss.

The result is Trembo: a thin, vibration-powered pad that lives under a pillow and pairs with the Trembo app. The app serves as a centralized hub, bringing designated alerts and programs into one place and translating them into customizable haptic patterns and intensities. It is one connected system universally designed around a seamless user experience.

Trembo’s MVP and first round of customer discovery are complete. The company is entering its next stage of fundraising, with sales targeted to begin in Q3 2028.
